Juliet’s Diary-Entry 2

Dear diary,

There was a masquerade ball today. There was with boy there named Romeo, but he’s a Montague and that upsets me. He’s supposed to be my enemy, but I’m in love with him. I was at the ball when all of a sudden I saw someone that caught my eye. It bothers me that he’s on the opposite side, though, so we can’t be together.

I spent most of my evening watching him intently. I've never been in love until this very moment. I find it hard to believe that someone I've never met is the love of my life, and on top of that, in on the opposing side of the family feud. He kissed my hand and from that moment on I was smitten. It truly is a shame that seeing him would make my parents angry with me and start a whole new riot.
